For more than 80 years, the Swabian family business from Güglingen has been reliably and efficiently developing high-quality cylinders, control blocks, steering and spring systems, valves and generators for mobile machines, commercial vehicles and machine tools, as well as life-saving equipment. As an innovative business partner, WEBER-HYDRAULIK creates high-quality application-specific system solutions according to customer requirements. To make this possible, the company also relies on RoboJob for the automation of its CNC machines.

Bernhard Lakotta, Industrial Engineering manager: “Like many other companies, we also aim for efficient production processes. For this reason, our planning was based on searching for different types of automation. One of our objectives was to be able to increase our productivity and efficiency through automated loading.

Furthermore, automation enabled us to optimise the flow of our turned parts. An additional effect of the automation is the physical relief of our employees when handling components weighing up to 10 kg. Our operators only have to load and unload the pallets according to the production order and perform measurements on the parts produced in defined measuring cycles.

We came to know RoboJob as a reference and recommendation from one of our parts suppliers, who also uses several RoboJob robots. During the detailed planning, we found that programming the RoboJob automation is exceptionally simple, as no specific programming knowhow is required for the parametric user interface. The RoboJob concept convinced us compared to the competition, especially the fact that the pallets in the Large Racks system can be moved unmanned by the robot.

RoboJob automated our existing CNC machine using a RoboJob Large Racks solution. The entire preparation phase and communication throughout the technical specification and design of the robot system as well as the installation and commissioning - also with the CNC machine manufacturer - went very well indeed. Throughout this effortless installation and commissioning, it was clear that RoboJob and the machine manufacturer had already completed several projects together.

The automation system has now been running for about six months. After small initial issues and change requests, which RoboJob solved at short notice, the automation and the machine run and harmonise perfectly. We are extremely satisfied about our decision to plan and implement the automation with RoboJob. Our employees really enjoy working with the system and are very pleased with its ease of use and their own physical relief. Our goal of increasing efficiency and productivity was achieved through automation. The most important thing for us is that in RoboJob we’ve found a partner who also understands the machining process. We work together to find and develop solutions that provide real added value for both our company and our employees”.
