For loading short workpieces and axis-shaped workpieces
Our Shaft Handling Module is designed as an addition to your Turn-Assist, Pallet-Load, Tower or Wall system to load shafts in your lathe. This module involves a customised dual two-point gripper that is interchangeable with your other grippers. Either manually or automatically.
You have a machine treating shafts only? If so, we will supply your RoboJob with this module! It is available as standard or you can build it onto your other systems. Handy, isn't it!

Your win
Your RoboJob system can use this module to load not only shorter workpieces, but also axis-shaped workpieces. Do you only want to load shafts? That is of course also possible. You can even load heavier shafts in your machine using this module. We communicate with your machine so that any glasses or under-turret is controlled at the right moment to support the axis. Just make sure that these glasses or your under-turret are movable with the door open.
How does it work?
You place your axis module on your RoboJob system. You have the option of placing an inlay on this module. This inlay is a lasered plate with V-shaped cut-outs. The axis module is designed so that you can insert these inlays at various places. This way, you optimise the capacity on your axle option.
We provide several different inlays to further optimise the capacity of different sizes of axles. This way, your machine will always run autonomously for as long as possible.
You change the gripper on your robot to an axle gripper. We always equip this with a double two-point gripper. This enables us to grip long shafts stably and also makes it easier to slide shafts into the chuck.

Our Shaft Handling Module was developed in cooperation with our first customers (since 2011) and then optimised. We have now delivered around 100 modules in the market and offer the most comprehensive package on the market.
This module allows you to load your spindle. Deeper insertion into the spindle, as the robot re-grips it and seamlessly communicates this action with your machine (claws open/closed). You can pull your spindle out again after the first operation and support it by a counterpoint. We also communicate this seamlessly with your machine.
As icing on the cake, you can even reverse the shaft to finish it completely. No more manual operations! What you naturally expect from your RoboJob system!
