Our machines with automation now run at almost 80% of their capacity, while for machines without automation this is only 25%.
The machining industry has been facing very difficult years in Belgium. Since the start of the global economic and financial crisis, many suppliers have seen a big decline in the order size of the orders of their customers. The few exceptions that still manage to survive in these harsh times, let alone grow and even expand, have to do something extraordinary to accomplish that. This is the case for Pierre Stubbe, a Flemish entrepreneur who not only succeeded to build his company from scratch in 20 years' time, but to do so while establishing strong growth, which has recently resulted in the move to a brand new building.
Pierre Stubbe, CEO: "As an entrepreneur, you are constantly facing new challenges. Thanks to RoboJob, we have managed to smoothen the peaks in production. Our effective production is now much closer to the capacity of our machines. Theoretically, our CNC machines can run for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. But of course, my employees go home in the evening. Despite that, we now manage to significantly increase the number of spindle hours with the same CNC machines. Our machines with automation run on 80% of their capacity, while for machines without automation this is only 25%."
