Since 2003, NEXTec+ Fertigungstechnik GmbH has been a supplier to numerous international companies ranging from Sweden through to France. In this international environment it has to contend with stiff competition, not least against Chinese suppliers who bandy around very competitive prices. In order to maintain orders and thus also jobs in its own region, NEXTec+ has committed to automation. This increases the company's output, and it has led to orders also coming back from China.
Manfred Peters, Managing Director: “In order to provide our international clients with the best possible service, we must not only offer competitive market prices and fast delivery, but also give added value. And that can only be done with automation. Without automation, we would fail to produce the required quantities (up to 40,000 units per year).
We got to know RoboJob through Mueffra, our contact person at Mazak. We have been a loyal customer of Mazak for years, and work with 4 machining centres and 5 lathes, all from Mazak. When they told us about the possibilities of automation, a bell started to ring.
We always work in 2 shifts and produce for some 16 hours a day. Using the machines with RoboJob automation we even manage 20 hours per day. This way we produce 25% of our orders unmanned and thus utilize much more of the machine capacity.
Our first Turn-Assist 250 has already been in service since November 2013. In July 2014 the following Turn-Assist 250 was installed and the third followed in March 2015. It goes without saying that we’re extremely satisfied. Each time the installation went flawlessly and our operators were immediately convinced."
