Gerrit Drost is the head of Gedro Metaal BV, a Dutch manufacturer of components, semi-finished and finished products, which are produced in large and small runs.
Thanks to advanced machinery and a streamlined organization, Gedro is able to manufacture products from all imaginable (ferrous and non-ferrous) metals and plastics, producing components, semi-finished and finished products. The company invested in robotic solutions from RoboJob, enabling Gedro to not only automatically load and unload single workpieces, but also to do finishing work with the robot. For example, pieces are deburred, washed and provided with a serial number before being stacked on a pallet. The choice for RoboJob very quickly paid itself back.
