After four long years, another edition of the AMB is finally on the horizon. RoboJob is also going to Stuttgart and will be bringing along its most innovative technologies, including a brand-new concept that will be presented to the general public for the first time: Coby CNC. The accessible, user-friendly system with a cobot makes automation accessible to everyone and can be put together with minimal technical knowledge.

Meet Coby CNC

"It is always exciting to present a new product to the public," says Business Developer Jelle De Roovere, "and all the more so because our premiere will be at the leading European trade fair for the metal industry. We are very much looking forward to the reactions." The idea is that you can simply perform a movement with the cobot arm, and the system can immediately repeat it independently. In reality, it is not all that simple, however. Contrary to popular belief, there is some programming involved. "We wanted to eliminate that, so that the end user can really get to work with a cobot in an intuitive and user-friendly way. That is why we developed Coby."

With the brains of Robojob

As with all RoboJob systems, Coby is an automation solution for CNC turning and milling machines. What makes Coby so unique is that you can configure, install and use it on your own. No installation technicians or training required. The system is delivered fully installed. The user-friendly RoboJob software enables anyone, even those with minimal technical knowledge, to bring Coby into action. Everyone at AMB will get an opportunity to see for themselves how easy it is to get started.

What about after AMB?

An initial batch of Cobys is currently being prepared to send out to a select few customers. In this first phase, they are still in close contact with the team. RoboJob can further develop and improve the system with them. It is expected that Coby will be available for anyone to order online at the beginning of next year, and that the system will be ready to be sent out in larger numbers.
