In the early autumn of last year, Belgium-based RoboJob signed a partnership agreement with Ravema. This agreement has enabled Ravema to extend its product portfolio with RoboJob’s smart automation products. RoboJob’s Turn-Assist and Mill-Assist are integrated solutions which enable the automatic loading and unloading of turning and milling machines. Both systems can be used for a wide range of dimensions (standard ø 5 to 400 mm) and weights (up until 700 kg).
Ravema is the official dealer for Mazak in Sweden and Norway, and its extended sales force now offers RoboJob’s loading and unloading systems to its already large product portfolio. Ravema was the first dealer within the Mazak organization to be signing a partnership agreement with RoboJob. Established almost 100 years ago, Mazak is one of the global leaders in the design and manufacture of highly productive CNC machines.
Ravema Norway invited its customers at its offices in Stavanger. From 8 to 10 April 2015, over 150 participants could learn all about how automation can help them to improve their companies’ profitability and flexibility. RoboJob’s Jelle De Roovere enlightened them not only with a presentation on automation as a contributor to machining companies’ profitability, but also with a live demonstration of the Turn-Assist 250 at a Mazak QTN 200.
Ravema’s Business Unit Manager Hans Jigback explains the need for automation in Norway: “Norway has one of the highest labor costs in the world, and these are still on the rise. Moreover, like in many other countries, we have also experienced a decrease in batch sizes, and it’s very difficult to find experienced technicians. At Ravema, we are already convinced that RoboJob’s smart automation solutions can address these challenges, and we now want to bring the message across to our customers in Norway.”
Key note speaker Jelle De Roovere was thrilled with the turnout: “With over 50 participants a day, Ravema has more than delivered their promise for a large turnout.
