Smarter use of space: how we gave the Tower EVO 40% more capacity in a more compact design
How did we give the Tower EVO 40% more capacity in a more compact design?
Anyone who regularly visits a production hall knows that every square metre counts. Machines, workbenches, robots, measuring equipment, storage space... before you know it, the floor is completely full. Yet customers expect ever greater flexibility: sometimes larger series, but usually smaller batches or even single items. More diversity in materials and components. And if possible: more capacity, without having to build an extra building.
How did we make the Tower EVO more compact?
Our engineers took on this challenge when they designed the Tower EVO. The Tower 1st Generation already offered a good balance between footprint and capacity, but we knew there was room for improvement. Our ambition: a solution that is smaller, but can do more.
The key lies at the heart of the design: the lift. Whereas the first-generation Tower had two lifts, we now opted for a single lift on the robot side. Simpler, faster and more space-saving. On the operator side, we now have a smart pass-through hatch, allowing materials and components to be loaded or unloaded safely and ergonomically, without complex fencing or light curtains.
This immediately gave us a significant gain in surface area. Anyone who puts a Tower EVO in their workshop will notice that it looks noticeably more compact. For busy work floors, that makes a world of difference.
How much capacity does the Tower EVO offer?
But here comes the real breakthrough: despite the smaller footprint, we can offer up to 40% more capacity than before. Depending on the chosen height, the Tower EVO can hold up to 29 trays, providing a storage space of no less than 13.9 m². Each tray can hold raw materials, clamping systems or tools: everything you need for production.
For the customer, this translates into direct benefits:
- Longer unmanned production: more stock means longer runs without intervention.
- More flexibility: easy switching between different parts and materials.
- Lower costs: more output on the same floor space.
What makes the Tower EVO smarter, safer and more compact?
The secret? Smart engineering and a team that refused to settle for half measures. Every centimetre has been carefully thought out. Every tray has been calculated. Every function has been tested.
The conclusion is clear: the Tower EVO not only delivers more capacity, but does so in a smarter, safer and more compact way. That is precision engineering that makes a tangible difference in the daily reality of the manufacturing industry.

Frequently asked questions about the Tower EVO capacity
How much more capacity does the Tower EVO have?
Despite its smaller footprint, the Tower EVO offers up to 40% more capacity than the Tower 1st Generation.
How many trays can the Tower EVO hold?
Depending on the chosen height, the Tower EVO can hold up to 29 trays, providing up to 13.9 m² of storage space. Each tray can hold raw materials, clamping systems or tools.
Why is the Tower EVO more compact than the first-generation Tower?
The first-generation Tower had two lifts; the Tower EVO uses a single lift on the robot side. On the operator side, a pass-through hatch lets materials and components be loaded and unloaded safely, without complex fencing or light curtains.
What are the benefits of more storage capacity in a CNC Automation system?
More stock means longer unmanned production runs, more flexibility to switch between different parts and materials, and lower costs thanks to more output on the same floor space.
