Smarter use of space: how we gave the Tower EVO 40% more capacity in a more compact design
Anyone who regularly visits a production hall knows that every square metre counts. Machines, workbenches, robots, measuring equipment, storage space... before you know it, the floor is completely full. Yet customers expect ever greater flexibility: sometimes larger series, but usually smaller batches or even single items. More diversity in materials and components. And if possible: more capacity, without having to build an extra building.
Our engineers took on this challenge when they designed the Tower EVO. The Tower 1st Generation already offered a good balance between footprint and capacity, but we knew there was room for improvement. Our ambition: a solution that is smaller, but can do more.
The key lies at the heart of the design: the lift. Whereas the first-generation Tower had two lifts, we now opted for a single lift on the robot side. Simpler, faster and more space-saving. On the operator side, we now have a smart pass-through hatch, allowing materials and components to be loaded or unloaded safely and ergonomically – without complex fencing or light curtains.
This immediately gave us a significant gain in surface area. Anyone who puts our Tower EVO in their workshop will notice that it looks noticeably more compact. For busy work floors, that makes a world of difference.
But here comes the real breakthrough: despite the smaller footprint, we can offer up to 40% more capacity than before. Depending on the chosen height, the EVO can hold up to 29 trays, providing a storage space of no less than 13.9 m². Each tray can hold raw materials, clamping systems or tools. Everything you need for production.
For the customer, this translates into direct benefits:
- Longer unmanned production: more stock means longer runs without intervention.
- More flexibility: easy switching between different parts and materials.
- Lower costs: more output on the same floor space.
The secret? Smart engineering and a team that refused to settle for half measures. Every centimetre has been carefully thought out. Every tray has been calculated. Every function has been tested.
The conclusion is clear: the Tower EVO not only delivers more capacity, but does so in a smarter, safer and more compact way. That is precision engineering that makes a tangible difference in the daily reality of the manufacturing industry.
