One and a half years after the cancelled METAV fair in Düsseldorf, RoboJob can finally get the fair season going again. In September, the international market leader in CNC automation will once again presenting itself at the French Global Industrie in Lyon, as well as at its home base Machineering in Brussels.

No less than a year and a half after the METAV fair was cancelled in a hurry, RoboJob is once again preparing for trade fairs. This autumn, there are scheduled participations at Global Industrie (Lyon, France), Machineering (Brussels, Belgium) and Metavak (Gorinchem, the Netherlands). September can’t come soon enough for the employees of RoboJob, CEO Helmut De Roovere also knows. “It’s now taken long enough,” says De Roovere. “I think that not only we, but also our customers and partners are looking forward to the cordial, personal contact that you always experience at trade fairs. Moreover, after a year and a half without trade fairs, it is also a question of finding out what new developments there will be."

In a year and a half, the world now looks very different. "The Corona virus has had a significant impact on the manufacturing industry," says De Roovere. "There’s not only talk of ‘reshoring’ but you can already see a lot of shifting.”Reshoring’ refers to bringing production from low-wage countries back to the countries where these products are sold and consumed. Something that clearly plays into the hands of automation. "Since the autumn, we have seen a marked increase in requests from customers, both existing contacts and new ones. In the meantime, this has also translated into a lot of orders. Our customers recognise that CNC automation is a must in today's economic and health situation. Not least because CNC automation offers more security in these uncertain times."

RoboJob has also not been idle since March 2020. "Our R&D department has been able to stay focused the whole time working on different projects. So this autumn we will be able to show a lot of innovations at the first trade fairs," De Roovere reveals.

Global Industrie will take place from 6 to 9 September 2021 in Eurexpo Lyon. Machineering starts on 8 September and runs until 10 September 2021, traditionally in Hall 5 at Brussels Expo. Finally, Metavak will take place on 5, 6 and 7 October 2021 in the Event Hall in Gorinchem. On RoboJob’s website you will always find an up-to-date overview of all trade fairs and events.
